Children's Story & Craft Time will begin again on Thursday, September 7 at 3:30 pm.    The Homeschool Group will begin meeting again on Wednesday, September 6 at 11 am.

 

Welcome to the Public Library in Fort Ashby, WV

 

We are a branch of the Mineral County Library Association, which includes our main library Keyser-Mineral County Public Library in Keyser, WV and the branch, Burlington Public Library in Burlington, WV. We offer the community many wonderful programs, such as, Children's Story Hour, Ft. Ashby Readers, and the Summer Reading Program. Some of the services we offer are Inter-Library Loans, Fax & Copy Services, Notary and Wi-Fi Services. Be sure to check out our calendar for times and dates of any events and programs we have going on. Our goal is to provide the Fort Ashby community with the best possible services and programs. What's Happening At The Library

 

 

September 6 -- 11 am -- Homeschool Reading Program: We will have the first meeting of the school year.  We will be going over the upcoming schedule, decorating tote bags to carry our books in, and serving snow cones.

 

September 7 -- 3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: We will be reading Chicken Story Time and making a chicken puppet.

 

September 10 -- 4 pm to 7 pm -- Pig Roast to Benefit Library:  Join the Fort Ashby, Keyser, and Burlington Libraries at Millstone BBQ on Rt. 50 in Burlington, WV for a Pig Roast to benefit the entire Library System.  Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at any of the above mentioned libraries.

 

September 14 -- 3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: We will be reading Ten Apples Up On Top and making an apple stamping craft.

 

September 19 -- 6 pm -- Fort Ashby Readers: The Group will  meet to discuss Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline.

 

September 20 -- 10:30 am -- Friends of the Library: The group will meet to discuss upcoming fundraisers and events.  All are welcome to join the group.

 

September 21 -- 3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: We will be reading Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and making a pigeon craft.

 

September 27 -- 11 am -- Homeschool Reading Program: We will be reading Dragons Love Tacos, making paper mache dragon eggs, and making salsa.

 

 

September 28 -- 3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: We will be reading Dragons Love Tacos and making a taco craft.
