We will be CLOSED Monday, December 24 through Wednesday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.  We will open again on Thursday, December 27, at 9 am.   We will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 1, in observance of the New Year.  We will open on Wednesday, January 2 at 9 am.


Welcome to the Public Library in Fort Ashby, WV


We are a branch of the Mineral County Library Association, which includes our main library Keyser-Mineral County Public Library in Keyser, WV and the branch, Burlington Public Library in Burlington, WV. We offer the community many wonderful programs, such as, Children's Story Hour, Ft. Ashby Readers, and the Summer Reading Program. Some of the services we offer are Inter-Library Loans, Fax & Copy Services, Notary and Wi-Fi Services. Be sure to check out our calendar for times and dates of any events and programs we have going on. Our goal is to provide the Fort Ashby community with the best possible services and programs. What's Happening At The Library



December 1-8 --  All Day -- SILENT AUCTION!


December 4  -- 6 pm -- Junior Book Club --  This is a new book club for grades 5-12.  We will be meeting to discuss Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.


December 5 --  11 am -- Homeschool Group: We will be touring the Gordon Robert's House in Cumberland, MD.


December 6 --  3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: Wolves!  We will be reading Little Red Riding Hood by Gaby Goldsack and making a wolf craft.


December 11 --  4 pm -- Lego Club: The club will meet to make Lego creations with other Lego enthusiasts!  Ages 5 and up.  Below 5 can attend with adult supervision.


December 13 --  3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: Penguins!  We will be reading Penguin's Family by Kathleen M. Hollenbeck and making a paper plate penguin.


December 18 -- 6 pm -- Fort Ashby Readers: The Group will  meet to discuss Last Christmas in Paris by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb.


December 18 --  5:30 pm -- Craft & a Movie:  We will be making keepsake ornaments and showing The Polar Express afterward.  Popcorn and drinks will be served.


December 19 --  11 am -- Homeschool Group: We will be making gingerbread houses and having a Christmas Party.  


December 20 --  3:30 pm -- Story & Craft Time: Christmas!  We will be reading The Longest Christmas List Ever by Gregg & Evan Spiridellis and making a Christmas ornament.
