Fort Ashby Readers (Adult Book Discussion Group)

Meets once a month on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 11 am.

We choose a different book selection each month. Each member picks up their copy and reads the book during the month and then we gather on the third Monday of the month and discuss the book together. It's a great way to meet new people and also get introduced to new books that you may not choose to read on your own. Come join in, we would love to have you.

Homeschool Reading Group - (September - May)

This program is for children who are being homeschooled. Every year we focus on a theme for our reading program (much like the summer reading program), we meet together bi-weekly for educational discussions, socialization, project presentations and special projects such as our Science Fair, and special community projects. This program is intended to promote a love of reading by using encouragement and incentives.

Summer Reading Program - (ages 3 - Adult, June - August)

This program that has a new theme each year and is open for ages 3 - Adult.

We offer prizes for books read, free T-shirts for a certain amount of books read and special fun and interesting programs during the summer to encourage children to visit the library and keep reading. We believe that children that participate in summer reading programs are better prepared for school in the fall, as a result. Adults are encouraged to participate and make this program fun for the entire family. So come visit us in June every year to get signed up for all of the fun, events and prizes.
